Ringling case delayed

A few hours after Joyce arrived in Washington DC she got the message that the court case mentioned in last posting is delayed, and that it may be set to spring 2009. Flying from Norway to Washington and back in 3 days isn’t the best way to spend a long weekend - but not much to do…

WHAT? How is this possible? What judge keeps giving Feld a pass on standing for trial? I can’t find any news about this, either.

I missed this news before I posted in the previous post about this. Why the sudden delay?

You have got to be kidding?! I’m with Sheryl on this. Typical Washington D.C. politics. It will be interesting to find out WHY the case has been postponed until next year. I know Joyce and so many others are completely baffled.

Well, last year (2007) the trial was supposed to be in the spring of 2008. Then it was to be early fall sometime. Then Oct. 7. Then Oct. 20. Then Oct. 27. Now Spring of 2009. As long as Feld pays, so will the elephants. This is CRIMINAL - they are commmitting FELONY ANIMAL ABUSE with MOUNTAINS of evidence! But hey, they buy and sell law enforcement at protests, and whatever media coverage they get. I personally haven’t seen any of the major networks mention this, but then I don’t waste my brain cells on corporate media anyway. Did anyone else see ANYTHING about this case in ANY large media?

S Morgan: I have found NOTHING in Google news searches. This trial only gets press attention when Feld’s paid shill (Stephen Payne) makes a press release. The only stories I can find are dated October 23 and earlier. I really want to know how Feld got this delayed yet again.
